The diagrams I am asked to produce frequently start life as highly confusing flow charts or vague scribbles on a piece of paper. Working with people directly involved in the process or system, the diagram usually goes through several iterations before the client says "Yes, that's it. That's what we do". It is immensely satisfying to produce something which clarifies to those involved what they do and communicates this to the audience. Working on more technical diagrams involves finding the viewpoint which not only allows all the relevant parts to be seen, but makes room for the labelling. Pink numbers will open larger versions and/or more examples in a viewer window. |
